These photos were taken at our family's operation and at various syrupmakers that I have visited. I have tried to include a large variety of methods and equipment used in Missouri. They range from the simplest methods of collection and boiling to very expensive evaporators and reverse osmosis equipment; some boil outdoors and some boil in sugarshacks dedicated to the process. Some tap trees in their neighborhoods in yards and along streets, but most Missouri syrupmakers have rural land and larger tree counts.
